Preparation is just as important as planning – it gets you ready to actually do the work. You can plan to compete and win all you want, but if you do not sufficiently prepare, you still won’t be ready. Proper pageant preparation consists of mental mastery, seeking pageant mentors, confidence building, conducting pageant system research, developing a budgeting, among others.
Professionalism encompasses the way that you carry yourself, your attitude and the ways in which you communicate with others. In pageantry, you have a short amount of time to create a lasting impression – one that could either make or break your career in the pageant industry. Professionalism is key when communicating with pageant staff, directors, judges and other contestants -- whether verbal or in writing. Either way, someone is always watching.
Poise is defined as a calm confidence in a person’s way of behaving or a quality of grace. Ashley coaches her clients to shift the frequency of rooms when they enter and maintain femininity in their posture, speech, wardrobe and physical attributes. She recognizes that an embodied feminine woman is the epitome of grace and elegance - both on and off the stage.
